ANTARA is a crushed beat tape overflowing with manic energy that operates on the outskirts of half-consciousness; a watercolor-smeared plunderphonic gestalt, pieces bleeding into pieces, possessed gravitrax. inspired heavily by the works of DJ SPANISH FLY, DJ YO-YO DIETING, and FENNESZ.

think of this album as a survey of my influences and base impulses resynthesized into a knotty package of wonky beats and relentless decontextualization. loops upon loops upon loops without beginning or end. dance digressions ("PAWS UP!!," "this house [arrival],"), circular song spirals ("crawlspace," "YOU_DONT_KNOW_ME," "DISCO,") shoegazey hip-hop numbers ("loaded," "loner beat," "choker"), and lots more that i'm not yet comfortable defining.

this marks the latest step in the journeys of SECAT: uncovering the self through relentless inquisition. nothing lingers. please take the journey along with me; i would like for you to hear.
